He was bracing for a fight, completely uncertain as to how the youth might react to seeing him, but, it looked like this Jin Ling was closer in time to the memories Lan Zhan had, and already knew Wei Wuxian's name, and he didn't come after him with animosity, only a friendly sort of teasing. He was even smiling, well, as much as he'd ever seen Jin Ling smile.

Wei Wuxian's own smile only widened, genuine and warm and thoroughly pleased. Even the eye-roll Jin Ling had thrown at him was so like his uncle! He's not entirely sure how they'd gone from their messy first meeting to how things are now, but he's glad for it nonetheless.

"And so gaudy they'd distract all the shoppers from buying anything at all," he counters with a laugh.
