Huaisang shakes his head. He doesn't particularly feel that way, especially now but it made him appreciate the kindness even more. He knew it's in Xichen's nature to be kind to everyone. He hadn't ever really seen him be unkind to anyone before. It's just not in his nature and he's good in a way that Huaisang can't be.

He looks up when the other continued, staring at him. He feels quite on the verge of crying again and his hands tighten on the other's robes again.
